How do I place an order?
Great question! For our listed products feel free to purchase through the website. If you are interested in purchasing a custom piece please reach out via our contact page, by email, or by phone (469.487.4819) and we’d be happy to discuss what it is you’re looking to have made.
For custom work:
Please contact us here or send us an email at info@garrettbasil.com with any information or questions pertaining to what it is you are looking to have built and we can chat from there! During the initial conversation we will discuss the design, material, time frame, and cost of the project. Once we’ve both settled on the details, we will request a deposit (typically 50-60% of the total cost) up front to cover materials. Once the deposit is received we will confirm all the details and specs of the build and then order the materials and begin on your one-of-a-kind piece! We will then complete your piece and have it to you within the time frame we discussed and agreed upon.
How long will it take to get my orders?
Great question! We typically have about an 8 week lead time from the date of purchase or deposit. Be sure to check the banner at the top of the website to confirm our current lead time.
For custom work:
We absolutely love building custom pieces. Because of this, lead times can vary depending on the complexity of the build, and material being used. In order to more accurately predict how long a piece will take to be built, feel free to reach out and we would love to chat specifics with you. As a general rule, our minimum turn around time for simple builds is about 6-8 weeks from the date of receiving the deposit, and longer for larger/more complex projects. Again, this will vary depending on the individual piece, but we take great pride in our work and thus we don’t sacrifice quality or cut corners for times sake. Wood is a living material and takes time to acclimate properly when being milled in order to ensure the quality of its life as a finished piece of furniture.
Do you rush orders?
It all depends. We do offer the ability to rush orders, but it’s all within reason. As mentioned in the section above, we do not cut corners with quality for the sake of time. We would rather you have a piece that will last generations but took a little bit longer to make, than one that got to you quicker but had issues arise later on because it wasn’t built correctly. If you would like something quickly, feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to discuss how to get it to you quicker and an appropriate rush charge. As a general rule however, nothing we make will have a shorter time frame than a few weeks as we stick firmly to allowing the wood to acclimate properly during milling and finishing. We simply cannot rush that process.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we will deliver pretty much anywhere in the state of Texas. For purchases over $1000 we offer free delivery within 50 miles of our shop in Bridgeport. For any distance over 50 miles we will charge a reasonable delivery fee based on the distance.
If you're further than Texas or need something shipped, feel free to reach out. We prefer to hand deliver everything we make but have plenty of experience shipping and would be happy to accommodate shipping should you want to order something through us.
Do you ship?
Yes! As mentioned in the section above, if you’re further than DFW we would be more than happy to discuss delivery options with you as we prefer to deliver everything personally, but we have plenty of experience shipping and will ship if we absolutely have to.
What payment methods do you take?
For online purchases through our website we take most credit/debit cards.
For custom orders:
We take cash or check. We do have the ability to process cards for custom orders, but there will be an associated fee to cover the cost to do so. Because of this we highly recommend mailing a check.
Do you offer refunds?
All sales are final, and this includes deposits. We are firmly committed to providing you with exceptional furniture and quality customer service, but due to the nature of custom work, we do not offer refunds for deposits or completed pieces. We know you will love the furniture we make and will make sure everything is communicated clearly and both of us are on the same page before money is exchanged however.
