Our Story

Garrett Basil Edwards has had a passion for art and design ever since he was little. This passion eventually led him to attending Savannah College of Art and Design where he took a furniture building class and fell in love with the process. He graduated with a BFA in Furniture Design in 2014 and has continued designing and building ever since. Over the past decade he has worked for multiple companies designing and fabricating hundreds of custom pieces in both commercial and residential settings.

Garrett Basil Furniture was established in 2018 while he was still working for another company, but shortly after was put on hold as the Lord had other plans for that season. He met his wife, Taylor, got married and moved to Bridgeport Texas to open his wife’s Chiropractic office. A few years and a few kids later, Garrett Basil Furniture has opened its doors again with a renewed energy and excitement to create.

All of our work is designed and created around three main tenets. The piece needs to be functional, made with excellence, and finished naturally. We achieve this by designing everything specific to how you need it to serve you, employing traditional joinery techniques, and utilizing non-toxic and VOC free, all natural oil finishes. We firmly believe these three qualities will ensure that your furniture will not only serve you well, but that it will last you a lifetime and can be passed down for generations to come.
